Oasis of Faith Core Beliefs

BIBLE

We believe the Bible is infallible written Word of God, inspired by Holy Spirit, inerrant in the original manuscripts, and the supreme and final authority in all matters.

GOD

We believe that there is only One God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and, God the Holy Spirit.

JESUS CHRIST

We believe that Jesus Christ is God, the living Word, who became flesh through His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit and His virgin birth. Hence, He is perfect Deity and true humanity united in one person forever.

We believe that faith in the redemptive and finished works of Christ provides righteousness and right standing with God to those who put their faith in Christ alone.

THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the absolute and essential deity, and in the personality of the Holy Spirit

  • that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it.
  • in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy and separated life in the present world.
  • that Jesus Christ will come again to the earth - personally, visibly and bodily - to consummate history and the eternal plan of God.

SALVATION

We believe that salvation is by the sovereign grace of God

  • that by the Father, Christ voluntarily suffered a propitiatory death
  • that justification is by faith alone in the finished works of Jesus Christ, which is His death and His resurrection
  • that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious Blood of Jesus Christ.
  • that regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation.

Fellowship

We believe that God admonishes His people to assemble together regularly for worship, for participation in ordinances, for edification through the Scriptures and for mutual encouragement.

Rapture

We believe in the blessed Hope, which is the rapture of the Church of God, which is in Christ, at His return.
